Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh

  • Pickup from Leh Airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • Mandatory rest day to acclimatize to the high altitude.
  • Evening exploration of nearby surroundings (optional).
  • Stay: Hotel in Leh.

Day 2: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (125 Kms | 5 Hrs)

  • Cross the mighty Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft).
  • Visit Diskit Monastery and the massive Maitreya Buddha statue.
  • Explore Hunder Sand Dunes with an optional Bactrian camel ride.
  • Stay: Camps or cottages in Nubra.

Day 3: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok River (160 Kms | 5 Hrs)

  • Drive along the scenic Shyok River route.
  • Arrive at the famous Pangong Lake (14,270 ft) by afternoon.
  • Enjoy a lakeside evening as the water changes colors.
  • Stay: Pangong Lake camps.

Day 4: Pangong Lake to Hanle

  • Journey to the remote south-eastern village of Hanle.
  • Evening visit to the Indian Astronomical Observatory.
  • Traditional Ladakhi dinner at a local homestay.
  • Stay: Homestay in Hanle.

Day 5: Hanle to Umling La & Back

  • An adrenaline-filled ride to Umling La (19,024 ft).
  • Conquer extreme terrains and sharp bends to reach the world's highest pass.
  • Return to Hanle by evening to unwind.
  • Stay: Homestay in Hanle.

Day 6: Hanle to Leh Via Tso Moriri 

  • Travel via Nyoma and Mahe Bridge.
  • Explore Puga Valley, famous for hot sulphur springs and geothermal activity.
  • Arrive at the pristine Tso Moriri Lake by evening.
  • Visit Chumathang Hot Springs, famous for their therapeutic properties and
    start drive to Leh.
  • Scenic drive back to Leh, passing through traditional high-altitude villages.
  • Evening free for shopping at Leh Market and trying local cuisine.
  • Stay: Hotel in Leh.

Day 7: Departure

  • Breakfast at the hotel followed by an airport transfer.
  • End of the trip
